NETWORK/MULTI-USER:
dBworxPE isn't designed as a multi-user application -- however, it
can be installed on a server and will issue a warning message if
a user attempts to open a database file that is already in use on
another PC. At that point dBworxPE will also give you the option
to open the file for viewing only.
Also, if you need to have several people making entries to the same
database, there is a way to accomplish that. For example, if you
have two people making time card entries for payroll, you can:
1) Set up a new (empty) file (say "Timecards").
2) Save "Timecards" as "Timecards1" and again as "Timecards2".
3) Split the time cards into two groups -- open "Timecards1" on
one PC and "Timecards2" on another PC on the network.
4) Enter one group of cards in "Timecards1" and the other in
"Timecards2", then merge them by importing each one into
"Timecards" using the "Import dBworxPE file" option on the
"File" menu.
